About Noodle
Noodle is an open-source app for running personal AI agents on a Mac, with a companion app for iPhone and iPad. Each agent has its own workspace, backstory and history, and runs on a harness you choose, using your existing AI account. The project is released under the Apache 2.0 licence.
What It Is
Noodle lets you create named agents with a defined role and give them tasks, files and context. You can also put several agents in a group with a shared goal, where they read each other's messages and split the work. Noodle does not supply a model. Agents use harnesses such as Codex, Claude Code, FX, Grok Build, Muse Code, OpenCode v2 and Antigravity, plus Apple Intelligence and local on-device models.
The Companion Apps
The suite includes optional companions that also work on their own:
- Noodle Computer provides Linux, macOS and Windows computers that agents can use.
- Noodle Browser provides dedicated signed-in browsers you assign to agents, with persistent profiles, tabs, history and bookmarks.
- Noodle Applet runs tools, websites and games that agents build.
- Noodle Hub lets you share harnesses with family or friends from an always-on Mac, keeping your sign-ins on the Hub.
- Noodle Mobile chats with your agents from iPhone and iPad and is in beta on TestFlight.
Privacy and Access Model
All harnesses start with restricted access, and you choose which folders each agent can see. Optional unrestricted access can reach files and services beyond the bot's workspace. Conversations and files are stored on your Mac, and voice dictation and transcription run on the device.
Setup Path
Install the app from a DMG, then use Settings → Harness to install and sign in to a harness. Create a bot, choose its harness and describe its role in the backstory, then give it a task. The README lists macOS 26 as the minimum for most apps, macOS 15 for Applet, and iOS 26 for Mobile.
