Orchard is a macOS desktop app by 5KM Tech, LLC that connects any MCP-compatible AI assistant to native Apple applications, enabling natural language automation across Calendar, Mail, Apple Music, Notes, Reminders, Messages, Maps, Weather, Contacts, and Clock. It runs entirely locally on your Mac, requiring macOS 13.0 or later, and is built with Swift for deep system integration. • Clock – get current time in any timezone, convert between timezones, calculate differences

Privacy and Architecture

Orchard is built around a privacy-first model: all processing happens locally on the user's Mac with zero data sharing with external servers. The Swift-native implementation provides deep macOS integration and fast response times. Because it implements the open MCP standard from Anthropic, it is not locked to a single AI client — any MCP-compatible assistant can connect to it.

Deployment Model

Orchard is distributed as a downloadable macOS .dmg file and requires macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or later. There is no cloud component or server-side dependency for the core automation features.
