About Pomerado
Pomerado is a Y Combinator-backed product from Pomerado AI, Inc. that builds deterministic API and MCP integrations for websites, including legacy portals, consumer sites, and internal tools that have no API. The open-source core (MIT) is on GitHub, and Pomerado Cloud runs the same core as a managed service.
What It Is
Pomerado is an integration-minting tool for AI agents. You describe a task on a website in natural language, and Pomerado explores the site, completes your example, generalizes it, and produces an integration your agent can call as an MCP tool or API. No HAR file or recording is needed, and it works on sites behind a login and two-factor authentication.
How the Workflow Runs
From a coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or VS Code, you ask for an integration and Pomerado builds and tests it, asking clarifying questions the agent can answer. Tools are marked read-only or write, and write builds perform the action once while building. The self-hosted version saves each integration as a folder of source code (schemas, generated modules, and an MCP launcher) that you own. The hosted version adds hosting, saved logins with automatic 2FA handling, access control, a managed browser fleet for bot protection, and breakage detection that repairs integrations when a site changes.
Performance Claims
Pomerado states that its integrations are faster and more reliable than browser agents, citing customer speedups of 7x and a benchmark of 30 tasks across 25 business apps. These figures are vendor-published.
Setup Path
The open-source version requires macOS or Linux, Node 24.21 or a later Node 24 release, an OpenAI API key for building integrations, and an MCP client that runs local servers. The hosted service can also be added as an MCP server and offers a keyless endpoint for trying read-only tasks.
