    About rexboard

rexboard is an open-source terminal tool by vanducng that tracks coding agents running in Rex panes across every Rex host. It shows which agent is working, blocked or done, how long it has waited, and lets you jump to its pane. The latest release listed is v0.16.0.

    What It Is

rexboard is an attention board for coding agents (the README names Claude Code, Codex, pi and grok) running in Rex panes. Agent panes are grouped into NEEDS YOU, WORKING, QUIET and UNREPORTED, with one shape per state and a spinner on working rows. Rows that need attention, such as blocked, errored, or done and not yet seen, appear on top.

    How It Works

Running rexboard opens the board in the current terminal and starts rexboard serve in the background on first run. That service watches this host and every host listed in rex hosts. On each host Rex runs an observer that streams NDJSON to the service, which keeps state on disk, holds harness adapters, runs extensions and answers the board, pick and CLI over a unix socket. Agents inside tmux, and pi, report through hooks installed with rexboard hooks install.

    Working From the Board

Keyboard keys move through rows, jump to a pane, watch a pane live, answer an agent's prompt, mark a row as seen and filter. rexboard reads Rex and writes only to a pane you chose: a jump, an answer or a close. Board contents are also available as commands with --json, such as rexboard ls --json, and extensions can add columns from other tools.

    Setup Path

It requires Rex with its rex CLI on the PATH, and jumping to a pane also needs the Rex app. It installs through Homebrew or an install script, and configuration lives in config.toml.
