Siteprint

Siteprint is a Safari extension for Mac that reads the page you are viewing and measures its design: colors with their roles, type scale, corners, spacing, shadows and a blueprint of each section. Its output is meant to be handed to a coding agent so it can build a new page in a similar style. It runs on macOS 14 or later.

What It Is

Siteprint is a design-inspection tool that lives in Safari's toolbar. Open a website, click the Siteprint button, and it shows the palette, typography and page blueprint. It does not build sites itself; the user's coding agent builds from the output.

The free tier covers inspection, an eyedropper and grid overlay, token export and a Library of saved scans. Pro, a one-time purchase, adds the exact prompt, DESIGN.md and theme export, Compose, and agent access to scans.

From Scan to Prompt

The Generate view copies one prompt containing the measured values, or a DESIGN.md file with sections such as colour, type and shape. The site names Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Lovable and other AI tools as targets. Compose mixes two saved sites into a new style, for example one site's colors with another's type and layout.

Agent Access and Apple Intelligence

With Pro, a coding agent can read saved scans directly. In the extension, open Generate, then Coding agents, and copy the setup command for Claude Code, Cursor or Codex. On Macs with Apple Intelligence, an on-device model also describes the style and answers questions about the design. Apple Intelligence is optional, and all measurements come from the page itself.

Privacy and Setup

The developer states that everything happens on the Mac, with no account, tracking or uploads. Setup: install from the Mac App Store, enable Siteprint in Safari Settings, then click the toolbar button on any site and allow access. Safari's own pages, such as the Start Page, cannot be read.
