Xirp is an agentic development environment built and battle-tested at Spotify, now available to other engineering teams via a beta program. It connects AI coding agents to your organization's services, ownership graphs, dependencies, and architectural decisions — so every session starts with real institutional context rather than guesswork. The product is currently in beta, with access available by request.

What It Is

Xirp sits at the intersection of AI coding assistants and organizational knowledge management. Rather than letting AI agents operate only on the file currently open, Xirp gives them a system-level view: who owns the upstream service, what depends on it, and why it was built a certain way. Model Flexibility and Vendor Independence

Xirp is designed as a harness for whichever AI model a team prefers. The homepage explicitly lists support for Claude, Gemini, and Codex, with the ability to switch between them without losing context. Sessions can run locally or remotely. Spotify Portal Integration

It was developed internally at Spotify and is now being offered to external engineering teams as a standalone product.
