Proofsource

Proofsource is an AI intelligence platform from Grovio Labs, Inc. that measures whether answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews name your brand, who they name instead, and what to fix. It also offers a remote MCP server so assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor can query your brand's data directly.

What It Is

Proofsource asks answer engines the buyer questions you track, then records whether your brand is named, in what position and next to which competitors. Each answer is kept with its sources and a screenshot, and numbers carry a 95% confidence range. Beyond tracking, it ranks fixes, drafts content and checks whether shipped fixes worked.

The MCP server

The MCP server (Streamable HTTP) connects any MCP-compatible client to one server URL and signs you in with Proofsource via OAuth, or with an API key sent as a Bearer header. Results come back as a card showing mention rate, per-engine figures, competitors named in the same answers and links to the underlying answers. Before sign-in, a Tesla example card is available.

Connecting and privacy

Setup instructions are given for ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Cursor, Claude Code, the OpenAI API and generic MCP clients. The site states the connected assistant's provider receives tool outputs such as brand names, visibility numbers, competitors, cited sources and answer excerpts, but never your sign-in code. You can disconnect in Settings under AI agents.
